The foundation of your oven must positively be a stable one. Why? Because the material used will be so heavy it will be bad if it is not steady enough. That must be understandable. You will need an ovenfloor for the pizza oven that you are going to make. You are going to need firebricks, to do these. They might, as they are in this example, be 25/cm/10 inches square and 6cm/2.5 inches thick. That is an example of some measurements that they might have - which are those that they have in this example. if you didn't know it, this is actually a kind of thick brick.

Now you will need a sand mound. The sand mound will define the inside shape of your oven. In order to be aböle to build the sand mound you are going to at the same time insert the oven door. You will in toehr words have to make an oven door. An easy, or at least the easiest, way to make the door is sawing it out of wood. Use, preferably, fire resistant wood. Which might be what type? Oak works. You can, if you feel like it - and it might indeed be a quite good idea if you don't like things catching on fire - soak the ovendoor in water before starting to bake in the oven.
